These folks are all part of my family, but the photos are very candid.
Making a wish before flipping a coin into a fountain in Palm Springs. I love the high level of concentration on her face. She is my granddaughter and had no idea I was watching her.
My wife (on the right) and her sister. She looked at me just as I took the photo. Judging by her expression (enlarge please), I can't tell what she was thinking. My wife on the other hand looks to be very interested in something that she found.

My friend Budd at Scifi Media is hosting the Scare Me blogfest on Halloween. Please follow the link and check it out and/or participate. Even if you don't participate, check out Scifi Media. Especially if you are into Scifi.
Here is Budd's blurb about it...
This is my first Blogfest and it will be happening on 10/31/12. The purpose of the Scare Me Blogfest is to write about the scariest book that you have read, Movie you have watched, Ghosts you have encountered, and/or to share your own scary story. Just sign up on the Linky below (on his blog) and post your entry on Halloween. A panel that includes me, myself, and I will argue and fight to decide which entry was the best and that entry will get an award. Who knows, I may make several.

Your sister-in-law has that 'oh crap' look!
I think that is the universal "he did not just take may picture" glare.
Hope to see you on halloween for my Scare Me Blogfest.
I love the fact that these photos are in black and white! Great candid shots..
Those are great Pat and they both made me smile!
I love your shots for the day, Pat! And, yes, they both made me smile, too!! Hope you have a great week!
Candids are the very best. I love the one of the sisters on the beach--makes my feet itchy to walk in the wet sand.

Great candids Pat! Perfect in B&W!
That is one of my favorite things about the beach. You never know what you will find. It is like a long and sandy treasure chest.
love the first photo that little girl is really wishing hard for something wonderful to happen
Hi, Tay!!! *waves
Your SIL is saying KELP! KELP! and whatever the wish was--It came true with that much Faith behind it!
I'll bet you a Cup o Joe- your wife smelled whatever it was! Why do we do that only with things from the beach????
Great shots!

Both shots have so much life in them. I love them both.
Both shots have so much life in them. I love them both.
I always did like that shot of your Granddaughter from the first time I saw it, and yes I'd say your wife has found a treasure but had no idea the find was being captured, your sister in law definitely caught you though :)
You captured a moment of your granddaughter's childhood...priceless!
great candid photos, pat!
have a great week ahead~
moments caught lovely in the eye of camera, Pat!
I think candid pictures are the best. I especially love the picture of your granddaughter.
Love the photo of your granddaughter....you definitely have a gift :)
You take great people photos, although your sil might disagree! Darling granddaughter portrait!
Love the pic of your granddaughter. Her face is so expressive I think one could guess she was making a wish.
Beautiful portraits! Your granddaughter is adorable, the picture is brilliant!

I'm going to skip the Scare Me Blogfest (I'm too wimpy). Instead, I'll keep looking at that picture of your adorable granddaughter.

Pat you will have to try awful hard to take a better shot of your grand-daughter...that is one of those one-in-a-million pictures. Your wife is extremely interested in her found treasure from the sea...or it might be an old Bic lighter! Great shots as always, buddy.
Great shots, Patrick. I need to get out and take some candids.
My hiking was near the Neptune Net area--past Mugu rock. Come up this way and let's go hikin' and shootin'!
I remember your dolly photos scared the heck out of me.
That wish photo is precious
The beach shot is magnificent. Love the natural element, the head turn. Beautiful work.
I think your sister-in-law is thinking, "if I get my hands on that camera, it's going swimming"! I like the b&w photos.
Sneaky you!
Beautiful photos!
I love that your wife is trying to make her stop so she can look at the unknown treasure!
