  14. I love reflection photos like this one. I also love watching those little birds run around. I'm terrible with bird names so all birds like these are sandpipers to me. :)

  15. Gorgeous photo, Pat. Have a great weekend.

  16. Aha ! These are NOT marbled Godwits, but they are "des barges marbrées" !!!

Okay, this is the poorest joke of the weekend, i'm sorry, but I couldn't resist ("Barge marbrée" is the french translation for this type of Godwit... ;D).

Nice picture, and nice reflection, anyway...

What a beautiful picture...I love the reflection in the water. I can't help you with the type of bird, but they are really cool; love their legs :) whew, whew...

  21. I googled the name you suggested and it does look like them. Whatever type of shore bird you have captured, this is a great balanced photo and fabulous reflection!

  23. There's something tender in the way they're mirroring each other and in the way they're reflected back.

  24. I think I found it in my bird book. If I am right, it is a Marbled Godwit.
    Beautiful photograph!

  30. I want to know what they are going to do with the clams once they find them.

    ReplyDelete
  31. How far away did you have to be to capture them in a photo? Everytime I get anywhere near enough a bird, it flies off!! Sheesh, like I'm gonna eat it or something. NOT!

  32. I wish I could help you but I am brain dead when it comes to the names of plants and animals. That is why I was a 6th grade English teacher. I can tell you this shot is a beauty. The reflections of the “water fowl” are lovely. I like the name Marbled Godwit so hope it is that. Whenever you can capture a two for one or a three of one, you have really hit the jackpot. Guess you are pretty rich tonight. Wonderful shot!

  38. I don't know bird names worth beans! But, I do know I love watching these guys scurry in the wet sand doing what sea birds do...cute little critters, they are!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Nice photo and reflections. I probably would have called them sandpipers, but birds are not my strong suit. I'm just learning. . . .
