Regular gulls ae hard to take good photos of because their white is so "white" and brilliant that they come out overexposed looking many times. There's nothing whiter than a gull's white! that sounded stupid, sorry....
Once I was fishing for rock cod and a gull tried to take the bait and got hooked as the line was dropping. He was still alive when I got him up, but he didn't cooperate very much when we tried to get the hook out. Most of the old timers on the boat were telling me to let him drown. I would never do that...
Beautiful shot, the colouring is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSea bird 004 -- just THIS CLOSE to a license to kill.

That is the cleanest sea bird ever. It must be extra finicky and take like 7 baths a day.

He looks so smooth! When I go deep sea fishing, it's fun to watch the gulls chasing the boat as we head back to shore....

ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the gulls Pat. I know what you mean about the white, our Inland Gulls are almost solid white.
