feel free to embiggen the photos
My favorite part was seeing street after street of buildings, residential areas, etc. All of them only facades, to use as scenery and sets.

Universal Studios - Los Angeles
A while back we went to Universal Studios in the Los Angeles area. Not really my cup of tea, but I was determined to make the best of it. I actually did have a pretty good time. Didn't like waiting in lines though. Since then I've seen several of these "sets" in movies, TV shows, and commercials. Most of this post is black & white. The old time scenes seemed to lend themselves to it. I would love to be able to walk around these places, instead of driving through on a tour. That is all I have to say, hope you enjoy the photos.

Black and White - group 4
We're currently in the desert, in one of the two places where California, Arizona and Nevada meet. Very busy doing and seeing some fantastic things. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these black and whites, from everywhere. You might have seen a couple of them in the past.

Black and White - group 1
As a change of pace, I thought I'd start sharing some of my B&W photos. These are from "The World in Black and White" website. A few of them have been posted here before. Some are old, some are new, and some are middle aged. Counting me, there are currently 13 people who contribute to the site. No narratives to read. A title, a photo and a name. That is it. Of course, comments and generous gratuities (20% please!) are always appreciated...
