I hate seeing animals around dangerous things like that. People are so irresponsible. They don't realize they can take off an arm, finger, paw, whatever.
To mimic you, "on a lighter note", I love the sunset capture behind your masthead. Your pool? Lucky guy.
Stupid hoomins! :( Anybody owning a dachshund should know better than to let the dog unattented on an occasion like that. I know what I am talking about, I had one! :D
It reminds me of the urban legend about the duck hunters who are still making payments on their brand new jeep after trying to use dynamite to break the ice on a pond. Their retriever of course "fetches" the dynamite and hides under the jeep when they try to shoot it (because its running toward them with a lit stick of dynamite in its mouth.)
That one, of course, is only an urban legend - but dogs that play fetch don't mix well with explosives!
Oh My Goodness, Glad that dog wasn't hurt... Maybe it was funny --but it wouldn't have been funny if the dog had have gotten hurt.... Oh Well--no harm done--THIS TIME. Betsy
California Girl - I totally agree. It was odd that they were doing that kind of fireworks with all that vegitation around also. Yes, I am happy to say that it is our backyard, and yes, we are very lucky!
I love the new header photo, Pat. I tried commenting earlier, but stupid blogger wouldn't let me. I hope things get back to abnormal normalness around here. xoRobyn
I have to agree with what everyone else wrote. Kind of sad to laugh at a poor animal's expense I am not what you might consider a real animal lover but I do have two German Shepards that I love a lot. Anyhow..I also want to tell you I love your new picture above. It is awesome...kind of relaxing to look at. I need to catch up on your Marine Corp blogs...I am just happy to be back among my friends.
Jimmy - Who knows what they do when we're not around!
Robyn - thanks! I know, it was all screwed up!
copyboy - A cat would NEVER do that!
Joe - I agree!
Ms A - Mine did also...I was a little scared
DrSoosie - Two German Shepards? How long did it take you to teach them english? BaDaBoom! Thanks, I like that pic also. As long as your in a reading mood...there's about 45 posts under the "Vietnam" page under the header photo also I hope everything went okay...
I'm angry at the idiot owners, but couldn't help but smile at the little dog prancing around so proudly enjoying his moment in the sun...animals are always innocent, but the owners alas so often guilty.
Realizing no one was hurt (including the dog) - now I can laugh...and secretly wish the dog had taught his idiot owners a lesson, but blowing up their camper, errr...whatever.

RA - Indeed they are!
ReplyDeleteNeil - In this case, I wish the owner would have been in the line of fire...

Betsy - I agree! pretty scary...
ReplyDeleteWell said everyone!! Being an animal lover, like I am, it scares me to death when stu-mans do things to endanger lives of animals!!!

ReplyDeleteToo funny. Even the other dog is running away.
ReplyDeleteLooks like my little dog there, she never did anything like this but you never know :^0

Those wacky masters having fun with their pooches and illegal fireworks.
ReplyDeleteIt woulda served them right if the dog and shot one of them right in the butt!
ReplyDeleteI remember that video about the dynamite on the ice pond, Neil!
Oh my! I think my heart skipped a beat. Glad you warned me ahead of time that no one was hurt.

The dog was pretty cute. I am just glad it wasn't hurt. Irresponsible people don't deserve to take care of pets!
ReplyDeleteThe dog was only firing a warning shot, next time he's gonna' get 'em good (I hope)!
ReplyDeleteGreat new header photo!

ReplyDeleteMr. Stupid - I'm right there with you! A lot of people with pets, have no business doing go...
ReplyDeleteShrinky - thanks! I agree. I would have loved to see on those things hit the stupid owner!
Margaret - I know. Despite the fact that the little dog was enjoying himself, he could have been hurt. The owner deserved to be hurt!
Marlene - Or maybe catch the house on fire..
Stupid people for sure, but since no one got hurt...it really was funny.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Have you shown this to Rabbit? I had a dog just like that - those weiners are crazy! - G
ReplyDeleteVery very fortunate people--Dog coulda really got burned--but it was hilarious as usual.
